Upcoming Purchases - Household Appliances

Goal: The business objective was to identify and rank homeowners who were likely to purchase major & small appliances for their household in the near future.

Methodology: Our method was to deliver an online survey via a high traffic web site, to gain a large volume of respondents in a short period of time. The survey provided a lengthy list of items that a typical household might be considering purchasing, and asked whether the homeowner was planning to purchase any of the items during the next 12 months.

Results: As to be expected, lower ticket household items were more likely to be purchased during the next 12 months than more expensive items. New cell phone contracts and home computers were being planned by the highest percentage of households. Less than 3% of households were considering expenditures such as central air conditioning, a new furnace or home security system. Yet even with low incidence figures, Dialogue’s online prospecting and lead generation technologies were able to uncover and identify these households.
